Eleanor Potter's Selvage Quilt


This beautiful selvage quilt is the creation of Eleanor Potter of Torrington, CT. It's on exhibit at the Flights and Fantasies Quilt Show ending today at the New England Quilt Museum near Bradley Int'l Airport. She used some dark fabrics to enhance the woven appearance. And the cobalt blue is eye-catching. There's even a little rainbow in the upper left corner.


Eleanor gets a nice effect by including selvages that don't have any writing on them. I particularly like that chartreuse batik in the photo above.
